The registration fee supports serious applicants for the enrollment of the PCA and medication aide courses. The registration fee is applied toward the enrolled course and is non-refundable.

The AHA's Heart Saver First Aide CPR AED course trains participants to provide first aide, CPR, and using an automated external defibrillator (AED) in a safe, timely, effective manner.

Personal care aide- also called home makers, care givers, companion and personal attendant- provides clients with companionship and help with daily task. They often are hired in addition to health care or social workers who my visit a clients home, such as hospice workers. Personal care aide performs tasks that are similar to those of home health aide. However, personal care aides cannot provide any type of medical service, whereas home health aides may provide basic medical services. The PCA assists with activities such as bathing and dressing vital signs and light house keeping. The student will receive a certificate upon completion of the course. CPR and blood borne pathogens is included in course.

The 32 hr medication aide training program will prepare students to assist with self administrating of medication in group homes, mental health and assisted living. The course requirements are certified nursing assistant or a personal care aide. CPR and blood borne pathogens is included in course. The student will receive a certificate upon completion of the course.

The course teaches staff how blood borne pathogens are spread, how to avoid exposure and what to do if exposed to infectious material. Those who complete the training receive a Bloodborne pathogens certificate valid for one year. Cost of training is $35 dollars per student. Call to discuss group rates.
Textbooks are included in the cost of the CNA class.

All students must be able to read, write and comprehend the English language
Partial refunds may be allowed for onsite classes if written application and receipts are received prior to the 7th CALENDAR DAY following the beginning of class. A $75.00 processing fee will be retained by the Center on withdrawals initiated by the student. The $75.00 application fee and $200.00 dollar registration fee is nonrefundable.
